Exploring Ancient Civilizations Through Real-World Experiences
With its strong belief in the overall and holistic development of the child, Geneva Liberal School celebrated Grandparents Day on 27th September. The day was filled with oodles of blessings, happy faces, excitement and cheer as the budding stars displayed their love and affection for their grandparents. The children were very excited to showcase their love for their grandparents and this was evident on their faces while they were performing. It was a moment of elation to see the happiness ushering in the faces of all the grandparents who made the most of this wonderful day with happiness.
Escorted by their class teacher and PYP coordinator, the students admired the intricate carvings on the walls and pillars while gaining insights into the significance of step-wells in early kingdoms. This hands-on experience allowed them to connect classroom learning to real-world examples, deepening their understanding of history and enhancing their appreciation for culture and heritage.
The field trip perfectly aligned with the PYP focus on experiential learning, enabling students to inquire, reflect, and make meaningful connections as they continued their exploration of ancient civilizations.
